Welcome to the Friends of China in Somalia – Alumni Connect Network, a platform that brings together Somali graduates, professionals, scholars, entrepreneurs, and leaders who have studied, trained, or participated in exchange programs in the People’s Republic of China.Together, we serve as a living bridge between our two great nations.
Our network is dedicated to strengthening the enduring friendship between Somalia and China by fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, cultural understanding, and sustainable development.
Friends of China in Somalia is developing a national database to connect Somali graduates and former students of Chinese universities and training institutions.
If you studied, trained or conducted research in China, we invite you to register and become part of this growing alumni network. Your registration will help us strengthen connections among alumni, organise professional and cultural events, share career and collaboration opportunities, support mentorship initiatives and highlight alumni contributions to Somalia’s development.

Join us for our annual event celebrating the China-Somalia friendship and the contributions of our alumni community.
Friends of China in Somalia connects Somali graduates and former students of Chinese universities through networking, professional development, mentorship and community engagement.
A video and article series celebrating Somali–China alumni, sharing their professional journeys and highlighting their contributions to their communities and Somalia’s development.
Alumni members serve as volunteer ambassadors, sharing their first-hand experiences with prospective Somali students interested in studying in China. They provide practical guidance on scholarships, university applications, academic life, cultural adaptation and preparation for living in China.
Opportunities for alumni to volunteer at FOCs events, moderate discussions, mentor others, lead projects and support the development of the Somali–China alumni network.
